Raise the Bar Training Calendar
Following a Training Plan gives an athlete a combination of freedom from having to think up their next workout and some confidence that they’re headed in a direction an educated coach gave some serious thought to.
Raise the Bar staff and coaches are assembling a growing selection of plans for Triathlons and Duathlons of all distances and terrain, Running races, etc. There are simple plans, complex plans, plans requiring knowledge of precise training zones and others that suit a less technically-minded athlete. Specifically for use at the Lake Wilderness Triathlon would be the Level 1-3 5K plans, Level 1-3 10K plans, Intermediate Half Marathon Plan, 8 week Sprint Plan for Beginner/Intermediate Triathletes, 10 week Olympic Plan for Beginner/Intermediate Triathletes and the 18 week Improved Performance Plans for both Sprint and Olympic.
Raise the Bar plans can be found www.weraisethebar.com. The cost depends on the number of weeks and amount of training involved but price out to $3 or less a week.
Raise the Bar offers classes and clinics through out the year. Watch for the Swim for Tri classes, Open Water Swim clinics, Beginner Tri clinics and more. Those are posted on our Classes and Clinics page along with our calendar and Facebook page.
If you are looking for workouts with other triathletes, Raise the Bar has several options. Under our Training Tab on the website, you will find swim workouts, bike rides and run workouts. You do not need to be a member to participate in those workouts. (But if you are interested in membership, you can find that here). Details on pricing listed if there is a cost. Saturday and Sunday bike rides are hosted by Northwest Tri and Bike which is a good resource for triathlon. Not only do they carry products that will help you with your triathlon goals, they have their finger on the happenings in triathlon and can help you find the resources you need.
